Fig leaf carries one of the richest botanical histories of any leaf in the world. For centuries, communities across the Mediterranean, Middle East, and North Africa brewed Ficus carica leaf as part of daily ritual, honoring the whole tree, not just the fruit. The fig is among the most referenced plants in all of Scripture, woven throughout both the Old and New Testaments as a symbol of abundance, nourishment, and provision, from the garden in Genesis to the parables of the Gospels. Few leaves carry such deep scriptural and cultural roots.
Brew this fig leaf tea on its own as a single-ingredient botanical, or blend your own custom fruit leaf tea at home. Whether you're building a mindful daily tea ritual or drawn to the ancient scriptural roots of this storied tree, it was made for you.
How to Brew: 1–2 tsp per 8 oz boiling water for 7–10 minutes; a fine mesh infuser is recommended. Fig leaf brews a warm golden cup with a mildly sweet, earthy, and slightly woody flavor. Grounding and pleasant any time of day, lovely with raw honey and a slice of lemon.
